I've been wanting to create a photo book with my favorite recipes for a while now, but didn't really know how I wanted to proceed or what I even wanted it to look like. Then the Project Life 6x8 albums were announced and my brain started formulating how this was going to come to being. I ordered a bunch of pictures of some of my recipes, still with out a clear cut path (which is way out of the ordinary for me, I usually only order pictures when I know exactly where they are going or what I'm doing with them). With the 6x8 album and pocket pages in hand and photos on the way, I still wasn't sure how this was going to turn out. But, once I received my Strawberry Edition of Project Life cards it all clicked! I knew I was going to love the Strawberry Edition, but wasn't sure where I would use it (I thought it was a little girly for our family album (yes, I'm the only girl in the family...). It works perfectly with the vision I had for my recipe collection! I love the colors, the sayings, the graphic style, all of it!
So, here you go, the details of my Project Life recipe collection, a work still in progress:
I used the "Ladybug" PL 6x8 album, available at Michaels.
Gingham and polka dots, oh my!
I used the We R Memory Keepers tab punch and random matching cardstock for these lovely little divider pages I made. The categories I used were: appetizers, beverages, breads, breakfast, main dish, side dish, soup/salad, desserts, snacks/misc.
I'm keeping the same look for all the recipes. A 3x4 photo of the food item (or if I don't have a photo I've used a filler card), a 3x4 title card with the name of the recipe and who it's from and a 4x6 journaling card for the recipe content and directions.
This is still a work in progress but I was so excited to share how this was coming along! I seriously love how it's turning out!
