Isn't she pretty! This beauty is FINALLY finished! This is ALL the handy-work of my hubby (he did ALL the work, rust repair, paint, interior, electrical, all of it!). It's been a long 6 1/2 years, but it's an amazing restoration! Good job honey! (I really need to see if he can give me a "before" photos to post with these!)
I finally came up with a New Year's resolution! My resolution to to play the piano everyday. It can even just be a few bars, just as long as I sit down and touch the keys, but everyday! Hope I can do it! This poor piano has been very neglected since we moved here, time to fix that situation.
Yuck! Elliott found the pomade and decided to eat a finger-full. Blah! On his defence, it does smell quite yummy (coconut). He made me wipe out his mouth with a baby wipe. Poor guy.
Me vs. the snow. I totally won, but I did have to shovel two rounds.
Jonas loves his daddy's hats (and his daddy sure does have a lot of them...).
We'd been out of frozen cookie dough balls for a while, it was high time I took care of that problem! The huge batch made 84 dough balls! My mixer is almost too small for the size of the batch. I think i need the bigger mixer... ;-)
Jonas had a neuro clinic appointment on Thursday. We talked about a million different things. Everything from December's tests, the next tests, current meds, the "next" med, more supplements to take, scary tests I hope Jonas won't need... lots and lots. I'm so glad Jonas' doctor really takes his time with us and really listens, he's great!
No school days are good for doughnuts! We better enjoy these while we can. I'm nervous about Jonas' potential diet options and our carb-y doughnut days may very well be numbered! (Jonas likes the chocolate frosted ones and Elliott likes "white" doughnuts (aka plain glazed doughnuts) and they both like to eat them cut up and with a fork).
Between Friday night and Saturday morning I got my first two Project life spreads of 2014 done! Woohoo! (I'm still a bit behind on last Fall, I need a big catch up day... That'd be nice...).
In the afternoon, my awesome best friend of 20 years (wow, yep, 20 years!) came over for some maternity photos. Isn't she lovely! Can't wait to meet her little girl!
After the photos, Lisa and David treated us all to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately the wait was 90 min, but we lucked into getting one of these crazy contraptions for free. The boys have always begged to use this stroller at the mall, but I've never caved in (for several reasons, 1. why would I spend money to rent this thing when we have a perfectly lovely double stroller. 2. look at how huge that thing is!!!). The boys LOVED it! (but it'll probably never happen again...).
I can't believe my babies are 4 today!
As I tucked them in bed last night and reminded them of their birthday, they both expressed their desire for balloons! I was happy to oblige! No parties or frills this year, not even home-made cupcakes... The past few months have been rough, so I let myself off the hook a bit. It was easy and I enjoyed my day with my two favorite 4-year-olds.
Decorations provided by King Soopers and Aunt Millie. Cupcakes provided by King Soopers. Presents provided by our wonderful friends and family!
(Jonas' atempt at holding up four fingers...)
Good job Elliott!
I think I only re-lit the candles 5 or 6 times this year.
These cupcakes were yummy! Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla bean buttercream and vanilla cream filling.
The boys got these birthday crowns at preschool and they wore the ALL DAY LONG! It was kinda funny because Elliott had a hard time saying "crown" and he kept calling it his birthday corn.
I love these boys SO much! I can't imagine my life without them.
I did this project with the boys their first year where I took their photo once a month with their teddy bear in the same chair and tried to get a similar pose each time. I LOVE that I did this! It was SO much work, especially with 2, but so, so happy I have this asweome photo progression! Perhaps not so bad with just 1 baby...
The photos have just been sitting on my computer and hanging out in "blog land" til now. Their baby books are still a work in progress, but I had to share these pages! I LOVE seeing all these photos together.
I had 13 photos of each boy because I started the series at 1 week, not 1 month... I think I'll print the month 12 photos as a 5x7 and put in in it's own page protector in front of this page. (Loving this design V pocket page from Becky Higgins!).
